A volcano erupted in Indonesia, on the same island that an earthquake hit on Friday. Planes were warned about volcanic ash but no evacuations were immediately ordered.
18 people including a congressional candidate were arrested while protesting outside a McDonald's restaurant in Detroit. The demonstrators were calling for a higher minimum wage and the right to form labor unions.
